The Bus
The New England Alumni Chapters coordinate charter buses for PSU students that provide transportation between University Park and New England for Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring breaks. Locations are Danbury CT, Manchester CT, and Newton MA and last year over 400 students participated in the service. In recognition of our coordinating the trips for over 25 years, we were honored by the Penn State Alumni Association with the 2022 Pinnacle Award for high achievement in providing a valuable ongoing service to Penn Staters!
The 2025-26 bus letter and final student list for the spring break trip are posted below; the Times and directions file contains additional info. The reservation period for spring break is now closed and no credits for cancelations or changes in reservations will be made.
There will be four return buses for the March 15 trip back to PSU - two direct from Newton, one that starts in Newton and makes a stop in Danbury, and one that starts in Manchester and makes a stop in Danbury. As a result, there will be no buses starting in Danbury and two buses stopping there to pick up students.
